The First Amendment protects the freedom to broadcast the content that the original poster was referring to – not just stuff that agrees with your ultraconservative and racist views. well I don’t mind him expressing an opinion but it should be labled as an opinion as opposed to fact set in stone. I mean if he can say that NIH or some other well respected medical facility backs up his statement then that would be fine.  If he says that NIH or some other well respected medical facility disagrees with his belief however his belief is such and such then that is fine. go to their web site, and there should be a letter-writing venue there. or you can go to the program-specific area of the site, and contact the producer etc of that NPR program. it was probably Evening Edition, if you you heard it driving home from work.  or maybe All Things Considered.
