What you fail to understand (or realize) is that the rights gained by American women in the 60s have been spreading since that time, and continue to radiate around the globe. For example there was a time when it was legal for a husband to hit his wife as long as the ruler he did it with was less than a foot long. I think it’s finally off the books now, but for over a hundred years it was legal to beat your wife on the courthouse steps on a Sunday here in South Carolina.

It’s still legal to beat your wife in most of the world. And in another story, Iran just executed a 16-year-old girl for…being a victim of rape.

Actually, it was the Hog Farm, and she didn’t really "take" the acid. She was given it, or it was spiked in the drinks the kids drank. I know people from that scene. It’s possible that those experiences scarred her for life. Grunge kids were often products of illegitimate unions

Again, I doubt that’s true. Blaming men isn’t going to work. There were plenty of women who decided to live alternative lifestyles and did just that. finding a convenient way/lifestyle to have sex without love and responsibility for their own children.

Women did this as well. The peace movement era was generally bad on women

I suppose you haven’t observed combat boots in a Pearl Jam mosh pit or eddie vedder doing Bob Dylan songs or knew Courtney Love took acid with the greatful dead bunch when she was a child Grunge kids were often products of illegitimate unions of irresponsible "peace" movement members whom were often just predatory men in love beads finding a convenient way/lifestyle to have sex without love and responsibility for their own children. The peace movement era was generally bad on women despite it’s parrallel of second wave feminism. Fuck em and forget em, you know, aka "free love" . BTW, Nirvana used to open for the Dharma Bums. Kurt Cobain’s stated music goal was to reinvent the Black Sabbath and Beatle’s sound. King Crimson, to say nothing of Ginger Baker of Cream whom reintroduced New Orleans Jazz technique into the 60’s psychedelic fusion genre all and many more were heavy influences on the grungers. . IMO the angry alienated sound of Grunge is way part product of the failed social promises of 60’s parentage and certainly a musical bastard child of that generation.
