… What on earth makes you think that the gigantic multi-billion dollar pharmcos give one tiny itty-bitty wit about things that people babble (including me) in these pathetic little computer-nerd enclaves called "USENET"? Their process is one of: – basic research – drug application – clinical studies – reviews – approval – rake in the dough The stodgy old doctors and scientists that are involved in this process, from the pharmcos to the FDA to the clinicians to the pharmacists probably only have the vaguest idea that USENET even exists, and if they do they doubtless view it as some kind of quaint ‘pen-pal’ gossipy chain letter on computers that no one in their right mind would ever take seriously, except as a personal trivial entertainment pursuit. USENET has an absolute *ZERO* risk of impacting their drug research, approval and sales process. Do you think the pharmcos fear that the FDA will go searching newsgroups for reasons not to approve their drugs?  Or that doctors might do the same and find reasons not to prescribe them?  When was the last time you heard of a doctor say "Well, the FDA guidelines say I should give you this, but I read this usenet post, and I think we’d better not…"? Dream on! Obviously fred gains his entire sense of self-worth from the number of times people respond to his posts and how much trouble he stirs up here in this very newsgroup (it’s his 15 minutes of fame), so clearly he has a VERY vested interest in believing that what happens here has some huge importance to his evil enemies.  Hence the resultant fantasy that EVERY post disagreeing with him is manufactured by some Pharmco Censorship Dept. What a sad self-agrandizing paranoid psychosis!

  Poor Frod, the man whose honest admission "I have NO ACCOUNTABILITY to ANYONE OR ANYTHING ABOUT AIDS."  seems to be getting another rant going.  Having so much time on his hands now that no one seems to be interested in his services as an oriental occult healer has decided that other need his useless pin pricks. It at very least should give the vaccine makers a target to hit.   More gratuitous stupidity — a cheap plug for the drug biz.

  Frod, are your vices telling you that some beneficent apparition will appear with the solution to the problem at hand?  Or do you fancy that your psychotic delusion will be the answer to it all? If IgA needs to be activated high and IgG low or not at all, that is a bit of progress toward the goal.   Is that it? A one-sentence infomercial promoting some nebulous goal and another impossible, yet expensive, "treatment approach"?

  Quick, fast, and cheap would be nice, but in all likelihood the solution may be complex and expensive.  Is Frod moaning irrationally because his own narrow world view of the problem is not getting the problem solved by his careless attention?   Lets hope that the light in the tunnel isn’t an incoming IgG train! Bizarre pips and squeaks are often the sounds preferred by the HIV Thought Police piglets with an eye for a flood.

  As a former prison screw, you, Frod, of all people should be cheerful handling a term like "Though Police Piglet".  That term sticks to you like a cheap shade of lipstick. Bad enough that Delaney and the "Treatment Aktivist" HIV Thought Police NEVER seem to concern themselves with concepts such as "acquired immunity", "condoms" or any prevention strategies at all (except, as would be expected, those strategies that require expensive drugs as "morning after pills" that serve to guarantee infection rather than prevent it).

  Infection is an ugly affair.  If the rest of us lived in Frod’s fantasy world maybe no treatment would be necessary at all.  But of course there rest of the compassionate world does not suffer from Frod’s delusional mindset.  Something has to be done to at least alleviate pain and suffering that Frod psychosis just ignores.  And further work should be done to render humans uninfectable by this and other pathogens.  If someone gets rich in the process, so what.   Of course, 2 days ago, Marty "The Multiple" Delaney-Giunti-DaveT-etc was babbling about doggie dander being the target of CD8 CTLs. One might suppose that Delaney has to do SOMETHING with his drug industry slush fund for misinformation, censorship and dirty tricks.

  No one has stopped Frod from making his outlandish treatment claims.  Every one of his bizarre notions is preserved in DejaNews for posterity.   I wonder what the future will make of them.  Perhaps they will one day be used in a case study of psychotic behavior and how ineffectual it was in mass communications. The PC Police (Preventative Censorship) are funded by the drug companies with a vested interest in HIV pharmaceuticals. While the drug industry holds much of the news media hostage with its Sword of Censorship (advertising bucks), it was quick to anticipate the growing threat of the internet newsgroups. That’s why the sci.med.aids "moderators" have become euphemisms for "censors": all the censors of s.m.a. report to Marty Delaney — the s.m.a. newsgroup originates at Washington University St Louis, Missouri — one of the hotbeds of drug company/university "collaborative research" (a euphemism for Junk Science drug infomercial development produced under the auspices of academia).
