I live in California, where Crohn’s is legally recognized as a disability.  Although I haven’t needed to do so, my understanding is that a letter from one’s doctor submitted to the Dept of Motor Vehicles will secure the special parking privileges needed. I assume that the way Crohn’s became recognized as a disability here was through the lobbying efforts of citizens and their representatives.  Assuming too that there is such a process available to you there, I encourage you to speak to your representative about the matter.  It won’t help you tomorrow, but it will help you and a whole lot of other Crohn’s patients down the line.
