4% of forest is all that remains……

Question:

|One hour from now another species of life form will go extinct for ever |and the rate is accelerating | ( a silent moment please to reflect on this ) It is a sad truth that most of the current environmental movement displays many of the same traits as the current industrial system does. It is as if they (in attempting to reform the status quo) have been infected/co-opted with its problems. Thus the result is often incorporation and neutralisation. However, we must try. The struggle should not be against our comrades but rather we should (on occasions) view our enemies enemy as a friend. If the quality/quantity of the oxygen produced for your own personal consumption, and your sound nights sleep in knowing that there is a tree out there somewhere (in the USA), is the total limit of human intrest in ecology – then perhaps we should attempt to shift the emphacis from saving the forrests to burning the asphalt jungle- —
