– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Well, I have some information for you — on July 26th of this year, the U.S. laid down the law to the UN: The U.S. ambassador to the UN, John Negroponte, delivered a speech in which he informed the UN crowd that the U.S. would veto any more biased tendentiously-slanted one-sided anti-Israel UN security council resolutions: Negroponte: "For any resolution to go forward, the United States – which has a veto in the 15-nation council – would want it to have the following four elements: – An explicit condemnation of terrorism; – A condemnation by name of the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, the Islamic Jihad and Hamas groups, groups that have claimed responsibility for suicide attacks on Israel; – An appeal to all parties for a political settlement of the crisis; – A demand for improvement of the security situation as a condition for any call for a withdrawal of Israeli armed forces to positions they held before the September 2000 start of a Palestinian uprising in which 1,467 Palestinians and 564 Israelis have died." So no more biased anti-Israel UN Security Council resolutions. Now isn’t that just too too bad now…
Are we to assume that the sixty (60) Security Council resolutions concerning Israel that the U.S. did NOT veto and that were enacted with the U.S. voting yes or abstaining met these criteria? If the U.S. insists on the U.N. being relevant and acting rather than just standing by, why hasn’t the U.S. moved to mobilize U.N. forces to enforce at least some of the 60 resolutions passed with U.S. hindrance and often with explicit U.S. support? — Peace to all who seek God’s face. UN Resolutions Against Israel, 1955-1992 …?
So let me get this straight, Abu Alfalfa — you’re actually _proud_ that the U.N. is a biased and one-sided body which has a permanent anti-Israel slant?!? In that case, I guess the UN resolutions you’re most proud of must be these two: http://domino.un.org/UNISPAL.NSF/9a798adbf322aff38525617b006d88d7/761… General Assembly Resolution 3379 of 1975 – "Zionism is racism". (Funny how this one wasn’t contained in the list in your posting!) http://daccess-ods.un.org/doc/RESOLUTION/GEN/NR0/418/74/IMG/NR041874…. Security Council Resolution 487 of 1981 – "Strongly condemns" Israeli attack against Osirak reactor, which was the only thing which prevented Saddam from getting a nuclear bomb (with French help, of course). There also would have been a UN Security Council resolution against against Israel’s saving its own citizens’ lives at Entebbe , Uganda on July 4th 1976, but the U.S. put its foot down on that one. The failed July 4th 1976 resolutions are known as "U.N. Doc. S/12138 (July 12, 1976)" and "U.N. Doc. S/12139 (July 12, 1976)" in UN Jargonese; if one of those two proposals had passsed, then that would have been the third UN resolution you’re extremely proud of, I assume! Well, I have some information for you — on July 26th of this year, the U.S. laid down the law to the UN: The U.S. ambassador to the UN, John Negroponte, delivered a speech in which he informed the UN crowd that the U.S. would veto any more biased tendentiously-slanted one-sided anti-Israel UN security council resolutions: Negroponte: "For any resolution to go forward, the United States – which has a veto in the 15-nation council – would want it to have the following four elements: – An explicit condemnation of terrorism; – A condemnation by name of the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, the Islamic Jihad and Hamas groups, groups that have claimed responsibility for suicide attacks on Israel; – An appeal to all parties for a political settlement of the crisis; – A demand for improvement of the security situation as a condition for any call for a withdrawal of Israeli armed forces to positions they held before the September 2000 start of a Palestinian uprising in which 1,467 Palestinians and 564 Israelis have died." So no more biased anti-Israel UN Security Council resolutions. Now isn’t that just too too bad now… — SAUDIA OMNIS IN PARTES TRES DIVIDENDA EST! I like the way you think. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Man, you must be very proud of yourself, Mr. Islamic convert trying to prove yourself. How people like you miss the obvious is quite intriguing. Let me break it down in a way whose clarity should be easily understood. The US and Britain are allies of Israel, not the Arab States. To a certain degree, Israel is the progeny of Britain and the US (whether you like it or not) – to the victor go the spoils. We are standing up with the underdog, surrounded by frothy-mouthed and desperate enemies, for if we did not, the Arabs would try once again to exterminate Israel. Israel is a free-market democracy (just like us). We have things in common and get along. Should we accuse Iraq of double standards by paying off the families of suicide bombers, but not of the victims of September 11th? We don’t like you, and don’t trust you, so don’t expect us to help you when you try to kill our friend. (and vice versa obviously) We saw your smiles on September 11th. Is that simple enough for you? ISRAEL poses no threat to us. IRAQ does. Get it yet? WE will help our friends and to hell with the rest of you. YOU hate us anyway, so why bother. So go piss yourself. Get over Israel. Have some elections. Wake up to the 21st century. Stop the Jihad. Then, maybe we can talk about being friends. Until then, we’ll help Israel and the world purge itself of vigilante Islamic genocidalists. Feel free to help out any time. But like with the UN, if you don’t want to pitch in, piss off, we are more than capable of handling it ourselves. Hopefully your raised buttocks will catch a Molotov cocktail when we’ve had it with your type here at home. Part of the tragedy in what is now happening is the inability of the West to understand how much bad will, hate, despair, and disgust are generated in the Middle East by the one-sided double standard of the West and in particular the U.S. Now the U.S. demands that the U.N. take firm action against Iraq and warns that since the U.N. has not succeeded in the past and Iraq has ignored 16 Security Council resolutions that the U.S. will take matters into its own hand to force Saddam Hussein to play ball with the international community. The same U.S. does nothing and threatens no one over the failure of Israel to abide by over EIGHTY (80) Security Council resolutions that were passed with the U.S. voting for or abstaining since NO security council resolution can be adopted if the U.S. or any other permanent member of the Council uses their veto power. Why must Iraq be compelled to play the game by the rules but Israel can make up its own rules as it goes along? Iraq may have nuclear weapons; Isreal does have them. Both have used terrible violence against their own minority populations (Kurds or Palestinians). Neither has shown any willingness to respect international law. What is really at stake for the U.S. and Britain? Is it national security, justice, human dignity and freedom for oppressed peoples? It looks a lot more like geopolitical hegemony. No one dared to make a pre-emptive strike because the other superpower was known to have enough ICBMs to annihilate the the attacker with the surviving remnants of its nuclear stocks. That leaves small-minded people like Bush, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, et al. with a fairly free hand to start something they do not understand and that will almost surely grow out of control and lead to death and suffering for thousands if not millions of ordinary human beings. This just points to the uselessness of the UN. It makes paper threats but doesn’t back up what it says. I suggest you Muslims begin discussions with Israel outside of the UN. Rather than attacking Israel, as the Arab Muslim countries have done more than once, try to come up with substantive negotiations with Israel. You’ll be better for it.
you would have better hopes of your suggestion being accepted by muslims if it did not so heavily rely on common sense.

Will USA ask the UN for implementing these UN Resolutions Against Israel, 1955-1992 …?
Isn’t it sad that you have to even ask about this. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Resolution 106: "… ‘condemns’ Israel for Gaza raid" Resolution 111: "…’condemns’ Israel for raid on Syria that killed fifty-six people" *Actually, If anything, NO muslim should be permitted to enter either Canada, the U.S.A. or the U.K. Let us not forget that in Sura 5:51, Sura 9:30 and Sura 2:256-257 the Koran commands a muslim NOT to associate with a Jew or a Christian, and that ALL Kafirs ( non-believers of islam ) should be either destroyed ( killed as in no longer living on the face of the earth ) or forced to convert to islam. Gee, so much for all that propaganda and smiley-faced muslim goodness that their religion is one of peace and tolerance! I STRONGLY urge everybody that is NOT a muslim to do their part and make life difficult for them in the aforementioned countries. Do not give them work, do not patronize their stores, do not help them out. Maybe then they will get the BIG picture and get lost back to where they came from. Let us NOT forget ( in the aforementioned Suras ) that their one mission from Allah is to kill or convert kafirs to islam – they will use every terror-based methodology to accomplish their goals. And our civilized western societies let these parasites in! WOW…

UN Resolutions Against Israel, 1955-1992 …?
Well this is what happens when you have an organization (1) most recently run by a guy who, for nasty personal reasons, looked the other way while the Rwandan government killed one half million people; (2) that is increasingly composed of tiny muslim geographical entities, otherwise known as "sheikdoms" but better defined as "shakedowns", run by a thousand despots who think that 100 countries of 50,000 people each should constitute a majority over another 50 countries with an average population of 50 million. Yes, this is the muslim brainchild— the muslim concept of democracy! When you don’t have the numbers, just keep making new "countries" for each new Bin Ladenesque "king" so they can assert they have a majority. Light, what a bunch of idiots!
