The terrorist troops killed nine Palestinians and wounded 39 others in addition to destroying scores of civilian houses without allowing owners to evacuate the furniture or other belongings. The Palestinian Mizan human rights center has said that the demolished houses in this incursion had numbered 105 houses in Rafah including 45 that were completely flattened while the 114 families, numbering 642 individuals, inhabiting those houses were rendered homeless. The center noted that the barbaric forces destroyed 20 shops and severely damaged a mosque, a kindergarten and a pharmacy. The occupation forces also demolished 35 houses including five that were razed to the ground in Wadi Al-Salaka, to the southeast of the Rafah district, and damaged 45 dunums of cultivated lands. The center said that the Zionist deliberate aggression on Palestinian civilians reflected the occupation soldiers’ recklessness when it came to life of Palestinians and their property. Mizan said that such practices were in violation of the international and humanitarian laws particularly the fourth Geneva Convention and human rights. It said that the practices constituted war crimes and their perpetrators and those who gave them orders should be prosecuted. The center asked the international community, especially signatories to the Geneva Convention, to interfere and protect the civilian population and their property in the occupied Palestinian territories. http://www.palestine-info.co.uk/
