We of the cAbAl We support freedom of expression as long as a few basic human rights are observed. This is why we oppose pedophilia and the distribution of child pornography on the net. It is my hope that we start a world-wide campaign to remove the newsgroups that Raven BlackBane has listed starting with our own domains. Why? Because kids have a hard enough time just growing up without dealing with adults trying to get them to engage in such a complicated activity as sex and matters relating to sex. I wanted to see how you reacted to things and most of you didn’t do very well. What really astonished us is just how poor many of you were in handling social crisis.

What specifically is this in referance to?  While I admit that things have been messy on this newsgroup such things happen…*shrug*… A Wiccan is first a healer and guardian of the Earth.

This I completely agree with…however… S/he must know the human mind and know the behaviour of groups. If you can’t work with alt.religion.wicca, how can you expect to work with the world and represent this religion? Think about this and go to the library.

I have been reading ppl and groups for years…I am an actor and in this profession one must read an audiance and react accordingly…As for the internet, it simply isn’t as easy and sometimes is completely impossible to accurately read ppl despite what some might say…On the internet we miss many of the token guides since we are unable to use any of our natural sences…now some will say that it is mearly the five basic sences which are limited and others still remain, but there are some of us, who though Wiccan, do not posses such abilities…for me, without the ability to see body language, hear inflections in the voice, and sence the general mood of a person I cannot accurately predict a person… Also as an actor and an internet addict for many years I know it is entirely possible to create a false personality so completely that it is immpossible to peirce it…it simply requires either preparation, study and patience or innate skill (or any combination thereof)… What we recommend is a 1997 edition text on Group, Behavioral and Social Psychology. Let me summarize what you did wrong.

No offence but what is your basis for comparison…Is this a professional observation or a personal oppinion? You attacked the person, not the problem. You alienated people who were supposed to be your allies.

Both of these I completely agree with…But as I so often say, "such things happen" You chose your enemies unwisely.

To this I must say we don’t always CHOOSE our enemies…While there have been times when people on this newsgroup were sucked into senseless flame wars there have also been times when we have been directly attacked… You continued to try to teach those who refused to learn.

I do not nessesarily see this as a fault…While there are times when people should stop attempting to teach and one should NEVER force learning upon someone (especially religion) you should also never give up on a person… You second guessed your own facts and questioned your own abilities.

Same old quote…"Such things happen"…and actually I would disagree with this as a general assumption for the group in general…While I am sure that this happened at times and do not require a list or anything as time consuming or pointless as that (hey, I’m sure I’ve overlooked enough messages that the proof has been in them) I also have seen many people who were sure of their facts and capabilities… Now stand back and watch me and learn something. Really???  This was all a Psychological study you were performing?  I do believe that goes against the Psychology board of virtually every country! A Wiccan is first a healer and guardian of the Earth. S/he must know the human mind and know the behaviour of groups.

Utter rubbish.  A Wiccan doesn’t have to understand the "human mind" nor be interested in the behaviour of groups.  Why should they? If you can’t work with alt.religion.wicca, how can you expect to work with the world and represent this religion? Think about this and go to the library.
