Question:

Been reading this difficult but fascinating book for the first time. I did a Google search on old articles and there are many opinions on the work. How accurate is the info? I am a writer and love the study of language and how it shapes myth, culture, religion. The central thesis seems to be that there is one natural basis for Western poetic myth, especially goddess worship and the muse of the goddess. Ideas and opinions? Feminist diatribes against Graves not necessary.

I have no doubt that Graves was divinely inspired
