Taking My Food Out of My Mouth.

Question:

was the title of your post a freudian slip in itself? did you MEAN to say "food" or "foot"..

Response:

Yesterday I made the most foolish verbal slip.  I was at a friend’s home.  Her roommmate, who strikes me as quite depressed and who is seriously overweight, was in the kitchen preparing some food.  I looked at the books on the shelf and asked my friend if she ever read the book, "Fat is A Feminist Issue."  The second after I the word fat came out of my mouth I realized how hurtful my question could be to her roommmate.  I am not even sure if she heard us.  My ED certainly makes me sensitive to other’s eating issues.  As you can tell, I put my foot in my mouth with no malice intended.  I hope she did not hear me.
