NOW Targets Wal-Mart in Protests Saturday

"The nation’s number one company should be a model workplace, not the worst of bad examples," said Gandy. According to NOW, Wal-Mart is the most sued retailer in the country. Most recently, Wal-Mart service manager Lisa Smith Mauldin has filed a suit charging the company with gender discrimination for failing to cover prescription contraceptives in its employee health plan. The suit won class-action status earlier this month. Approximately 400,000 women out of one million employees are eligible to join the lawsuit. Galahad   Galahad it doesn’t coount as praise if you say it yourself.  BTW why not a tax on women who commit violence? Simple, really.  Men commit the majority of all violence.  Have them pay for their crimes. Excellent points. Bob. Yes, we need to institute an international man tax. Are you a man?  Then pay the fine! Bitter boys only, however. Good men don’t have to pay. I.e., anyone not on soc.men. The Global Men’s Movement backs this tax program wholeheartedly.

The Spanish Men’s Movement agrees, and sees this proposal as a novel tax strategy.

I move that all Spanish men should be fined their life’s savings for the horrible act of pollution that they have allowed to happen off their coasts.   Morcova Are you ready to do some of the Good Lords work? Your closed mindedness and sexism in the guise of railing against closed minded sexists has charted new heights of irony. Not stupidity, not sexism, not evil, not hatred, not contempt, nor even violence is the sole or even preponderant domain of either gender, and any pretense to the contrary is nothing more than intellectually lazy herd-following behavior. Most of us understand that free speech is messy and chaotic, and accept that consequence as the price we pay to enjoy said freedom. But apparantly some children and adults with childlike emotional dispositions seem to see it as their mission to squash speech that they do not like or disagree with. Perhaps that kind of juvenile temper tantrum is how one deals with things in an Orwellian Paradise, but that is not how rational sentient beings do it. Byte Me. GARRYOWEN!
