Camille Paglia has managed to set the woman’s movement back 50 years. She came on the scene, bashing the heroes of the movement, saying her ‘brand’ of feminism was better. Her brand seems to be all about bitchiness.
This was a forgery. Please ignore this post. The real Ilya Shambat. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -ibshambat2…@hotmail.com wrote: > Many in generation X have been finding inscrutable while > many of the older people are so pessimistic when they are old. I, > coming from perhaps the most optimistic country in the world, have an > explanation that I think can work for many: IT is better to come in > expecting the best and use one’s mind and one’s actions to prevent it, > so that evil can blossom and keep blossoming, than it is to come in > with a naive attitude and be unprepared for what is to come. > The Jewish culture is optimistic. It also has produced some of the > greatest accomplishments in the history of humanity, from Tel > Aviv to Greenspan to Martha Stewart to the Talmud. American culture is > pessimistic. It has not produced great things. I do see a correlation > between optimistic or pessimistic attitude and accomplishment. I see > two ways to structure the mind. The drawback of optimism is that it > keeps motivating the person even when times are hard and can in best > situations be self-perpetuating; its benefit is its ability to > anticipate problems and understand problems of others. The drawback of > pessimism is its inability to anticipate problems and the weakness that > is built by preparing for the worst; its benefit is its basic dourness > and the misery it can perpetuate when it does not have a fundamental > light at its core. > It is said that a old pessimist is the saddest sight in the world. > Honestly, I’ve been getting more pessimistic the older I have been > getting, and the reason is that I’ve genuinely been seeing things > get worse. Improvement comes from not seeing things; it comes > from not resolving them so that light cannot live. And that, > rather than simple happy-faced optimism or simple destructive > pessimism, is the way to make possible a worthwhile existence, for the > living and for the dead. > I could have come in as a pessimist and get hit in the face with things > and not know how to deal with them (as did the boomers) and then go on > attacking people, as they do, for not having a negative attitude. I > could have been a constructive pessimist who perpetuates negativity that > becomes self-feeding and nourishing (as do many in Generation X). But > I’m working a synthesis – which is a middle-of-the-road > compromising approach (an approach I do believe in), and taking what’s > right in each perspective and using it where it belongs. To see the > wrong but to see how things can be made good what it takes for that to > happen – that is the way to arrange such mentality. Which, in my view, > is the only way to truly achieve a positive outcome; outcome that is > both good and lasting – rather than either dissipating as does > uninformed optimism or leading to ongoing misery as does pessimism > without perspective or purpose or basic light. > Churchill made a infamous statement that old conservatives don’t have a > heart while young liberals don’t have a mind. I know plenty of older > liberals and younger conservatives, and I see no such shortage in many > cases. I see it in fact as more a balancing effect, where things that > were overlooked in one generation get dealt with in the next ones. This > is the case of course with every generation; as it indeed should be, as > is the nature of humanity and indeed the nature of Jewish civilization. > A lot of the older religious conservatives very much do have a heart; > the problem in many cases is actually a problem of thinking: A problem > of shallow and uninformed thinking that cannot fathom the great ideas > that made possible fascism and to recognize the evil that can be > accomplished by inspired and creative thinking. The Rush Limbaugh fake > conservatives, I see an excuse for: There’s no shortage of heart, and > there’s no noticed shortage of mind among people who think that being > manly and realistic is about ignoring the effect the civilization has on > the world. As to older people who have been able to remain conservative- > minded – meaning generous, kind, inspirational, compassionate, > excellence-pursuing and serving the short-term good of humanity – I say: > Not only do you have a mind, but you have a better mind than do many > (indeed most) of the liberals, both older and younger. And indeed I find > many such people to be inspirational, truly, as it is these people that > have found a way to make goodwill and beauty blossom long-term. > This of course does not apply to the people who brought about a hideous > spectacle: Of attacking the older people for being "negative" without > looking for either root causes of that negativity or exhibiting the > compassion and understanding necessary to truly turn person from > negative attitudes and toward an attitude that is genuinely > life-embracing. The problem there is lack of both mind and heart; a > basic lack of compassion as well as a basic ignorance, the latter of > which has been dealt with extensively in Garlic and North Park and the > first of which has been wrongly ascribed to narcissism. Nor does this > apply to a still more hideous spectacle put forth by the other side: > The cruel, malicious, defensive abomination that wants to clear the > race of those it deems undesirable while conceiving of no such thing as > grace and forgiveness demanded by any concept of righteousness – and > while being likewise lacking entirely in compassion, lacking entirely > in understanding and lacking utterly in goodwill. While creating a > Gordian Knot – a set of two complementary half-truths resulting in lie > that is absolute and soul-killing – that is claiming that someone can > be by nature permanently and criminal while excluding the fact that the > concept of ethics cannot apply to choice (the things not of choice > being liable for judgment): And that if it is right to judge people > on ethical basis, then that does not imply choice, which does not imply > choice to do differently which means a chance for redemtion. Once again, > the problem there is one of both mind and heart; a problem of basic > malice and anal-retentiveness – with the heart being driven by malice > and the mind serving its basic hideousness in which man is machine (and > all in it is to be expropriated if it can be expropriated or destroyed > if it cannot). I would rather see both these sets of villains fighting > each other rather than either prosecuting the people for possessing > basic honesty and attunement to what goes on in the world (as does Side > One) or wanting to kill people or put them away for life (as does Side > Two) for being starved or being different from them or having desires > that in toxic paranoid climate can’t find a way to legitimate expression > or having personalities they don’t like. > These two sets of bullies relate to the world in the same way as do > the JDL and the Dworkin-style feminazis: Holding the people in hostage > to their nastiness, cruelty and anal-retentiveness – a prissiness, > mechanistic mentality and clear-the-race mindset that by its very > nature cannot stand for there to be anything of imagination, > inspiration, passion, excellence, innovation and all other things that > are not tidy or machine-like or easy to explain to an untrained > fundamentalist mind but that make life worth living. While projecting > their basic nastiness as morality while lacking entirely in wisdom or > charitability that any meaningful concept of ethics demands. While > creating Gordian knots and other deceptions and using their pessimism > as force of oppression, without any light at the core – and, with no > light at the core and no allowance in their ideologies for the inspired > and original thinking that has perennially been the saving grace of > humanity, apocalyptic outcomes invented and brought about through > self-fulfilling action in that pursuit. I’d rather frankly see Dworkin > people with Taliban, while the poor women in Afghanistan and the poor > hunted "freaks" in America find happiness in each other’s embraces. The > world owes much to the Taliban and the prosecutors of heterosexuality; > and it owes more to both the people prosecuting "negativity" in the old > and the race-clearing heroes that we have seen come from the other side. > Indeed all four of these are essentially beneficial, and good of the > existing (and long-term benefit of humanity) demands seeing them all > prevail, and humanity set free to live as people, in a world where > people can live. > I do not have both a heart and a mind, and I am determined to put both > in service of good of the existing and of the dead. That means: > Supporting all that prevents that; from fundamentalist oppression > to oppression in name of feminism or personality psychology to > ignorance and lack of compassion that we have seen in name of fake > optimism. It is my goal to anticipate all such things and destroy them, > in order that light can live. You want to know why I came in with a > negative attitude? It is because of what was going on in the world at > that time. And it is my goal to anticipate all that can be wrong and > avert it, in order that light of the soul can blossom and make the > world a place worthy of having and human existence worthy of being had. > Which is the true goal of any pessimism that means nothing. > Ilya Shambat.

Download the Ad Block extension for Firefox and all that crap will go away.

I agree. Aside from very few sneaky web sites, Ad Block can kill most unwanted ads and flash are not downloaded unless you specifically click on the play button. Ad Block can also be used to block inline HTML ad, something that most 3rd party ad blocker can’t do. Firefox + Ad Blocker = worst nightmare for sites trying to milk ad money. — When you hear the toilet flush, and hear the words "uh oh", it’s already too late. - by anonymous Mother in Austin, TX To reply, replace digi.mon with phreaker.net

Look for a file called hosts (no file extension) (usually in Windows/System32/drivers/etc), open that with any text editor program and add this to the file: 127.0.0.1 antipopup.virtualrealities.com This way whenever your browser calls for that web site, it’d be redirected to 127.0.0.1 (your own machine) and nothing should happen.
I fired up the old Linux box today and played with that for several hours and surfed eBay with Firefox. I’m not complaining about Firefox or trying to compare it to IE, but found my experience on eBay without all the crap blocked like I have in Windows to be less desirable and slower. Does everyone see and put up with all them freaken advertisements? I’m so amazed that anyone uses eBay with all that trash! The pages load slower because of it. I think I’m going to have to spend some time to configure the browser so I can use eBay running Linux. I really can’t believe people actually put up with all that nonessential crap! Google wasn’t much better.

Setting aside the firefox config responses you got : Web design is also changing. For example, MSN finally centered their content. Up until three weeks ago, their style sheet disregarded resolutions above 800X600 and left aligned the content. Ebay’s main page is still styled content left aligned, even though myebay, search, and auction pages are styled properly. Ebay leaves room for future advertizing as well. You think what you saw is bad, look at the way search pages and the front page for ebaymotors is actually designed. They left room for about 40% or so more advertizing areas on each page (the pages seem pretty full but they use content management software and the tags indicate they have left room for more to be displayed). A year from now… well, you’ll probably be seeing twice as much crap.

I enjoyed the Molly Yard retrospective featured last week on the Rush Limbaugh Radio Program. As for what counts as "immortality" with you, kilroy, even at Elvis Rowan U, most girls filling the Feminism 101 classes likely haven’t heard of Molly Yard and won’t long remember her name after cramming for the quiz on whatever lecture there was in which the instructor mentioned Ms. Yard’s name in passing. After all, why should the student body at your phony ".edu", kilroy, be different in that respect from the one at the real ".edu" institutions? <giggle> But thanks for doing your bit to add to the already great heaping mounds of evidence for my sig: — All excuses for feminism depend on the willingness of their believers to eat sh*t and swallow lies.

Nobody said anything about Hell. I make no claims whatever about who does or does not go to Hell. It is not my job, I do not have adequate information, and it is improper. Though I have known a few people who seem to make their own lives as hellish as they can while on Earth, for no reason I am ever able to understand. Mr Hardpan seemed to feel that Ms Yard’s death was some sort of punishment for her misdeeds. Since he is obviously innocent of those same misdeeds, he is therefore not going to be punished as she was. Claiming that another’s death of old age is a punishment seems to be require the belief that one will not oneself have to worry about dying of old age. Of course, most people will never get mentioned in any sort of news source at all when they die, since most people never do enough to merit any such mention. Ms Yard worked for causes she believed good, to what she believed was the betterment of society. Many who believe society could be better do nothing at all. At least she believed in something enough to take action.
Yeah, those facing seats seriously bug me out. Whoever the hell thinks those are good deserves to be made to actually travel on those things. In the evening I’d fold my arms and pretend to be asleep. Chances are whoever’s opposite you would be glad they don’t have to awkwardly avoid eye contact with you. Of course all of this is relieved by driving instead. I can relate to the cherishing private time at home thing, and find driving a highly enjoyable alternative to public transport stress.

together "hermit crab’s >all-time best comments" so far? What I’ve noticed from you is that you have a tremendous awareness of how men are allowing women to control the entire dating system. Even the highest rated men WILLINGLY submit to women’s high opinion of themselves instead of resisting. Your insight into that issue is quite bold and daring and very few members of this board have ever previously expressed such statements except for a handful of long-time posters such as Darkfalz and myself.

>I suspect what happened is that Jim Summers phoned in so regularly that >Mr Paul got desperate and let him tele-host the show for an hour so he >could finally get that desire to be famous out of his system.

And I suspect he’s lying through his teeth about this as he lies (to himself) about everything. ZenDog

> There is no contradiction here. I hosted the show via telephone, I >wasn’t exactly brought down to the studio. The host spoke to me off the >air during the commercial break right before the 3 A.M. hour and he knew >that I had some material so he told me that the 3-4 A.M. hour was mine. >The host’s name was David Paul who is a sort of legend here in Atlanta for >his shock jock ways.

Translation: you used to phone in regularly to someone else’s show. Man, your delusions just go on and on. So now you’re claiming to be a co-host with David Paul? Bwahahahahahaha… ZenDog

PRIOR: David admits he never worked in radio prior to WSB. He one day called the program director and said he’d like a job. "I was a househusband for 4 years. My ex-wife was an executive with Bellsouth and made plenty of money, so she wanted me to stay home with the kids. I listened to WSB and thought it was boring. I called the program director Jim Ashbery and asked if he was a gambler. He said he was. I challenged him to let me fill in. He did. Then he gave me the Saturday night spot. That was my first job in radio. I was just a caller before that." AFTER: He tried a few smaller stations in the market, then turned to selling cars for a living. It was at this time David Paul became intrigued with religion and became a born again Christian. While his critics scoffed, years later David has not changed his tune. His religious conversion is indeed the real thing. On his web site (see below), David writes the following: I am a Christian striving for a higher level of spiritual consciousness. I am searching for the truth and I think I may have found it. My goal is to go beyond elementary instruction toward higher levels of understanding. As the Scripture says, "Seek, and ye shall find." TODAY: David contacted us and wrote the following: " I would enjoy telling you I am a congressman representing Florida but I don’t think you would buy it. The truth is Donald Trump and I are building a few hotels on the East side of Manhattan. Oh well, I guess that didn’t work either. So here it is, I am still selling cars in the metro Atlanta area and I enjoy it. I am pretty good at it. I have the gift of gab and it works especially well selling autos. Currently, religion seems to occupy my time, I read a lot. My website is www.MatthewMarkLukeandJohn.com . Check it out. Thanks for including me on your website. I do appreciate it. Thanks again, David" People who know David Paul today say he is a changed man and that his conversion and ideals are for real. David has promised to write more to readers of this web site. We have promised to pass along his words.

Question:

I feel bloodthirsty again. And this time it has nothing to do with me, but with the utter idiocy and hideousness I see destroying the lives of people in America. Yesterday my friend, a Vietnamese-born tattooed goth-artist-intellectual, told me that he is constitutionally incapable of being honest with women. When prompted for what he meant, he said that he is always approaching women with the intent to have sex with them. He said that his interpersonal interest in women is always corrupted by this sexual interest. Needless to say, I had something to say on the subject. I told him that the sexual and emotional interest are in no way in conflict with one another, and that any relationship worthy of having involves both at once. I told him that a good heart enhances sex appeal, and a body kept up in good shape enhances emotional appeal, since it demonstrates someone who is interested in being her best. I told him that the two belong together, and to separate them results in malignancy, misery and ultimately oppression. I told him why the two belong together: Because if they are separate from each other, people’s sexual relationships become robbed of all caring and warmth, and as such inevitably turn poisonous and exploitative. At which point the person uses others – to whom she has emotional connection – to whine and complain and then discard. Which is a recipe for complete and needless misery, and one that the happiness of humanity requires to be demolished. I thought back upon rackets that exist in many cultures, and that result in multi-generational perpetuation of misery that then is maliciously portrayed as tradition and ethics. One of them, having heard it articulated by many men from traditional cultures of either white or black race, is this: THe man goes into a relationship expecting his woman to cheat on him. Now what would a man do to a woman whom he expects would turn against him? Coming from that consideration, he completely controls her, attacks her, and utterly suffocates her, until in many cases the woman has an affair simply in order to get a breath of fresh air. At which point the man decides that he was right; that women are evil; that they must be controlled; and that doing so is godly and ethical. It is not godly or ethical. IT IS A RACKET. We see similar things go on in clashes of civilization: People doing horrible things to their enemy until the enemy responed in similarly horrible ways – at which point they were portrayed as evil. They were not evil; they were pushed to it. And in what I described at the beginning of the post, I see a racket of toxic psychology and toxic religion and toxic feminism. I want my pint of blood. Ilya SHambat.

Heh heh. See, the desire to act like a pig to women stems from being a pig, generally. Men who are basically good and kind are good and kind to women, on the average. Selfish shit-bags act like selfish shit-bags toward women, because they are, in their hearts, selfish shit-bags. And vice-versa. Works for women, too. Ilya, I see a theme with you, which is you have a big poetic notion about how you’d like the universe to work, very much centered on how you’d like women to work, and it keeps smacking painfully up against human nature, which is various, variable, utterly non-uniform. So, sure, you want women to all be one way, that way you fancy, and being human beings, they fail to conform. Not because of evil social systems, or feminism, or whatever the target of the day is, but because people are little individuals, who are under no natural constraint to adhere to your standards of elegance or order. Ah well. Likewise, your goth friend tends to put getting laid over having a relationship. Maybe he’s not old enough yet for a real relationship. Maybe he’s a shit-bag. Who knows. Some things have their time and you can’t rush them. In re the problem of assuming women will cheat on you. Maybe they will, maybe they won’t, depends on the person. If the plan of brutal authoritarian social systems is to keep women from cheating, they aren’t very sucessful. If people wanna cheat ….. they will.

William Blake was a famous writer. See http://www.online-literature.com/blake/, where you can read this: "William Blake (1757-1827) was a British poet, painter, visionary mystic, and engraver, who illustrated and printed his own books. Blake proclaimed the supremacy of the imagination over the rationalism and materialism of the 18th- century. Misunderstanding shadowed his career as a writer and artist and it was left to later generations to recognize his importance." You may have heard some of his more well-known works, such as "The Tiger". (Note that you can sing the words to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"). Tiger! Tiger! burning bright In the forests of the night, What immortal hand or eye Could frame thy fearful symmetry? In what distant deeps or skies Burnt the fire of thine eyes? On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand dare seize the fire? And what shoulder, and what art, Could twist the sinews of thy heart? And when thy heart began to beat, What dread hand? and what dread feet? What the hammer? what the chain? In what furnace was thy brain? What the anvil? what dread grasp Dare its deadly terrors clasp? When the stars threw down their spears, And watered heaven with their tears, Did he smile his work to see? Did he who made the Lamb make thee? Tiger! Tiger! burning bright In the forests of the night, What immortal hand or eye Dare frame thy fearful symmetry? — Nom dePlume, Ph.D. Why, yes, in fact, I am a rocket scientist.
I’m not surprised that most shy guys don’t want children and I guess it’s a good thing. they are too self-absorbed to be good parents, and too wimpy to set a good role model for their sons. > I don’t know what the hell kind of troll this is, but you’re an idiot. > Just because you’ve had boyfriends or girlfriends (or vibrators, > whatever, I dont care what kind of relationship you have with them) it > doesnt give you the excuse to write softcore porn about relationships > in a support group full of lonely people. You actually pissed me off > enough to make me post, and I will say very clearly what I think: go > away.

Just because I’m a woman doesn’t make me a troll. I’m trying to show you what a real loving caring relationship should be like since it’s clear that most of you have no idea whatsoever about this and you keep jacking off alone into your socks or getting into dysfunctional relationships and frankly, I pity the women.

I was so eager to escape > the store that I left a bag of bananas at the checkout stand. The poor > clerk ran me down to tell me! > Contrast my behaviour with that of the extrovert. I’m playing on-line > poker in the school computer lab Tuesday afternoon. I hear a rapping on > the glass. Startled, I turn around. One of my classmates, a woman from > Costa Rica, just wanted to say "hi". > What a contrast! The extrovert seeks out the stranger while the introvert > recoils in terror at the sight of his own girlfriend. > Avoiding casual acquaintances is understandable but is anyone so shy that > they avoid best friends, significant others and close relatives when they > see them out in the real world?

But when specifically women in westernised cultures, and a much smaller proportion of men, have all these shallow, arrogant attitudes – then you can put it squarely on women, and feminism.

I am quite crude around other people but it is less of a "conventional bad boy" crudeness and more of an "eccentric artist with chip on shoulder" crudeness.

1. Yes, some women in other countries are interested in the dream of moving to a westernized country, which you might be able to take advantage of. 2. Everyone who ever complains about women here is a cocky smartass loudmouth, at least on the net. The internet is a medium where there are no behaviour constraints so, unlike real life, the only reason to treat people nicely is because you want to. So I have to conclude that deep down these people (including you) are cocky loudmouth smart-asses. So if that’s what women want, sheesh, just be yourself, instead of some weak- ass parody of chivalry or a new age estrogen male or whatever. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Indeed this type of worship towards loudmouthed, smartass behavior is > more of an american thing, and not present everywhere on earth.
