NIKE BENDS FOR MUSLIMS, WHAT ABOUT HINDUS?

Recently, the activism directed against the record company involved with the production of a particular Aerosmith CD was successful.  The offenseive (to Hindus) picture on the CD insert was replaced.  A boycott of Nike by Hindus, Vegans, vegetarians and people concerned about the pain and suffering of animals — perhaps more than a third of the world population — should help matters.  -  Jai Maharaj

      Jai Maharaj, 99.99%, if not more, of the hindus wear leather footwear. What in th world are you cmplaining about ? If Nike came up with a logo with RAM on the shoes, it would be highly offesive to hindus. I would definitely not wear them. Muslims objected to the logo with the word ALLAH in arabic. Saw the logo on the TV, it looks almost like the way Allah    is written in Arabic.    Nike has done absolutly the right thing by recalling the shoes.    The logo is clearly offensive.    As a long time share holder of Nike, I believe they should be    in the business of selling shoes, and not hurting religious    sentiments of any people of faith. So I am glad the  matter was    resolved emicably.
