Anyone critical of the official line put out by the U.S. government had better use the opportunity to speak out NOW, here on the Net.  With hysteria for WAR being whipped up it will not be long until no dissent at all will be tolerated.  That is the way things are in war time – dissenters may be imprisoned, or worse.  And we are being told to prepare for a LONG (perpetual?) war.  This will give our elites the opportunity to advance their agenda with no resistance whatsoever!!!  A de facto dictatorship could be the ultimate outcome. This may be much further out on the limb than I personally would go; but if we get deeply involved in some open-ended covert international war on terrorism, we should not rule out the possibility of serious privacy and civil rights limitations.  Consider that even now we are being monitored by the NSA’s intelligence system.  4liberty is not wrong to be concerned about this.  Things change in wartime. Legitimate dissent is one thing …This crap is something else… The true American public wants justice and over all is fair in its assessments. The Afghans should not be made to suffer for something they are not guilty of.. The Taliban (if guilty) should be punished accordingly..
