OT:? Anti tobacco site

Question:

Hey all, here is a nice little site founded by the heir to the reynolds fortune. http://www.tobaccofree.org pretty cool.. rik (activism) Two weeks, 7 hours, 21 minutes and 24 seconds. 858 cigarettes not smoked, saving $143.78. Life saved: 2 days, 23 hours, 30 minutes. — GNUbie f3as3 "Eat your dessert first"                            rwc3 Annandale, Virginia ICQ# 318892 http://members.tripod.com/~kaosorb/index.html

I looked at the quitting page, http://www.tobaccofree.org/quitting.html It has a bunch of good information, and some that might consider off the beaten path (9-volt batteries??), but the thing that really struck my funny bone was this (written by the heir to the Reynolds fortune, no less). First he writes:   "I come from a wealthy background, and at one point it occurred    to me that wealthy folks may have a much harder time quitting    smoking, alcohol, or even dieting — because they’re used to    getting whatever they want, whenever they want it…" And THEN he has the NERVE — to ask for money!! Arrrrghh!!   "We are providing this as a service to you free of charge.    If you wish to make a voluntary gift to The Foundation for    a Smokefree America, it would be most welcome … " HELLO!! IS ANYBODY HOME?? You don’t TELL people you’re a WHOLE LOT richer than they are and then ASK THEM FOR MONEY!! Duh! So you’re used to getting whatever you want?? How about you get this with your 9-volt battery, huh?? Stepper :) :) f3as3 10m

Can’t think of anything more pertinant than this. Even includes quitting tips.  This was quite a deal–when this heir went public. RK
