Bad Seller Warning
Question:
I think $3.95 shipping and insurance is theft when it can be mailed for 37 cents. The seller FRANKCOINS refused to reduce the shipping to a fair amount. Just wanted to warn everyone.

I think ‘kantoken’ has a hair across his ass; the payment & shipping terms are very clear; but yet he bids, and then complains when the seller refuses his honor his proposal to violate the auction contract by not paying what he contractually agreed to with his bid. Sounds like a good deal if it really is worth $35. I think $3.95 shipping and insurance is theft when it can be mailed for 37 cents.
Sure, it can be shipped in a ENVELOPE with one stamp on it for .37. But then when you don’t get it, would you prefer to be out the $10? No. $3.95 is priority shipping, with delivery confirmation. The seller FRANKCOINS refused to reduce the shipping to a fair amount. Just wanted to warn everyone.
$3.95 is a fair amount. And congratulations, I think you’ll find you’ve just been added to many people’s blocked bidder list. — To reply, remove TheObvious from my e-mail address.

Thanks for the bad bidder warning. It’s always a public service when you can let seller’s know about bidders who buy stuff and then squawk about the terms they agreed to. You have been added to my blocked bidder list. TS Sometimes I doubt your commitment to Sparkle-Motion.

Yeah, ’cause it would be a cryin’ shame for people to actually be able to raise what they felt was a bad seller. Oh wait, I forgot, there are no bad sellers, just bad buyers. I dunno. Why would a guy complain about $3.95 shipping on two coins while simultaneously auctioning a can of old motor oil starting at $9.99 with "actual" postage estimated at "between $10 and $20?" http://digbig.com/4byfk OTOH, as was noted elsewhere, Power Sellers tend to become psychotic. It doesn’t appear that the shipping fee was a secret when you bid… if you had a problem with it, you should have bid accordingly and/or tried to work something out AHEAD of time. You have absolutely no business winning an auction and then inventing your own terms. The seller is reasonable, and it sounds like you are being a nightmare bidder! mjoann

The shipping cost is clearly stated as a flat rate, along with an offer of $1 for each additional item. Assuming a handling fee and some good packaging, and considering the seller’s outstanding feedback, I’d say you’re overstating your case. He looks like a good seller to me, with a modest S&H charge. Perhaps he could include the word "handling" in his listing to be entirely square, but I don’t see a problem, certainly not "theft."
