Daisy A person who disrespect him self disrespect other’s to. This was until now my experience with suicide people. I know a few. Total selfish and total self absorbed people. And this is funny? Do you have any idea what goes through a persons mind when they are contemplating suicide? I don’t think you do or you wouldn’t of posted this. It’s not pretty nor is it easy to deal with day in and day out. Believe me I know. Daisy http://www.freep.com/suicide/index.htm Have fun.

Yes, and we shouldn’t feel guilty about it, but in our "advanced" society, we do. Yet if the truth be told, we know what the most humane thing is, at least in many cases.

Doctors swear themselves to something called the "Hippocratic Oath" "…above all else, do no harm" The difference between a "mistake" and the conscious ending of a life, is a debate that has yet to be resolved, apparently. I *my* mind,…the distinction is clear.

Look,…this goomer was doing his deeds in my neck of the woods. While youse guys may have caught a national news story now and then, he was on my TV constantly. No matter how altruistic the idea of euthanasia may be to you, this guy did these things FOR HIS OWN publicity. In his mind, (based on his own words in interviews you *didn’t* see) he had become more important than his patients. Ends justifying means, and all that. I mean,…where’s all the clamor now? If it was so damn important to Geoffrey Figer, why no uproar NOW? The puke is on TV every f**cking night!
